Salvador Kent is an aspiring writer and director.

His new play ‘The General Will‘ will be performed on the 24th and 25th July as part of Worcester Fringe 2024.

As a Writer/Director, his short plays include:  ‘A Learning Society’, written for Worcester Theatres and Crave Arts ‘On The Verge Of…’ course, performed script in hand in the Vesta Tilley studio on 28th July 2022; ‘DIE: or an extended metaphor’, shown at the John Moore Theatre in Worcester on 4th May 2022; and ‘the dreamcrossed twilight between birth and dying’ which he originally devised and introduced for Worcester Cathedral’s ‘At Night’ event in October 2021, then performed with revisions for ‘Taster Pots @ The Swan’ on 19th March 2022.

Salvador participated in the Peruvian Alianza Francesa’s theatre festival Escalas 2024, as Assistant Director on El Grito’s production of Escorial by Michel de Ghelderode, directed by Gustavo Ramos. It premiered in Trujillo on 2nd May 2024, before touring to Chiclayo and Piura. He has also been Assistant Director on: Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, produced by Worcester Rep and directed by Owen Harper in October 2023. Samphire by Shamser Sinha, produced by the Worcester Young Rep as part of NT Connections and directed by Owen Harper in March 2023. 

He was a member of the Worcester Young Rep from 2021-3. He performed in HUNT for NT Connections 2022 and CTRL DEL for Worcester Fringe 2022. He played The Messenger in Worcester Rep’s production of Antigone in 2022, as well as being Production Assistant. He also played a small part in Samphire.

His short film, fleeting moments, was first screened on 4th May 2022 and is now available on YouTube. He is an alumnus of the BFI Film Academy, participating in their screenwriting course in the summer of 2021. With them, he wrote ‘Eulogy’ in a group, and ‘one more creature dizzy with love’, which was produced as part of the course.
